S.T.I. currently has two concrete retaining wall systems available for differing applications. Whether you need a small backyard wall or a 50-foot-high grade separation, Shaw Technologies International has a system that is perfect for the application, giving you affordable performance!

The Strengthened Soil System is comprised of precast concrete facing panels and galvanized steel reinforcing members. The rectangular panel shape was chosen for its ability to withstand differential settlements with no adverse affects on performance as well as for its ability to be easily adapted to various architectural finishes by the use of either standard or custom form liners. Several other finishes are also available without the use of form liners, such as exposed aggregate or a sandblasted face.

The Omega System can function as either a gravity retaining wall system or a mechanically-stabilized earth wall system, depending on the height and soil and loading conditions. The MSE application is made up of concrete masonry facing units and geogrid soil reinforcement members. The split face units can be colored, and due to the fact that the units are not wet-cast, they do not exhibit significant color variations from unit to unit.

When building gravity walls with the Omega blocks, the installer simply stacks the units on top of each other, and they are then connected and secured by their patented connection lips.
